A FRENCH PRESS COFFEE BAR IS PERFECT FOR GUESTS
Today is what? No, this isn’t a joke. It’s an actual day and we’re celebrating! P.S. – You won’t believe who we’ve invited to our party for National Joe Day on March 27. Rest assured, there will be no Joe Schmoes allowed. Or average Joes, Joe Blows, and for heaven’s sake no sloppy Joes. You guys stay at home. I have no idea when I’ll be able to have the house cleaned again!
With respect to our guest list, we are shooting for the stars. And why not? We’re only allowed to gather together with less than 10 people right now, so let’s make each attendee count!
The spirit of the day is to share a cup of “Joe” (coffee) with someone named Joe. Sounds like a fun time and wonderful celebration of a great name. In honor of the Joes, we set up a beautiful coffee bar featuring our favorite French press coffee blend and homemade breads. It’s truly worthy of our all-star guests.
HERE ARE THE EIGHT JOES THAT MADE THE CUT AND WHY THEY ARE ON OUR GUEST LIST:
JOE BUCK – the renowned sportscaster has nothing else to do right now, since every major sporting event in the entire United States been cancelled. Plus he lives close to us, so he won’t even have to travel.
JOEY TRIBBIANI – because right about now, don’t we all need friends that care enough to ask, “How you doin’?”
JOE JONAS – we’d invite all three of the Jonas Brothers if we could, but we simply don’t have the room. We always try to book great entertainment at all of our parties. No pressure Joe, we think you are up to the challenge!
JO POLNIACZEK – better known as Jo from the “Facts of Life,” this girl was the original rebel without a cause. She was tough and empowered, before being a tough and empowered woman was even a thing. She has earned her spot at the table.
JOE BIDEN – you can’t celebrate National Joe Day 2020 without Joe Biden. This is his year to own!
JOE EXOTIC – Tiger King, presidential candidate, gubernatorial candidate, T.V. host … what can’t this guy do? The obvious answer is attend our party, since he’s currently incarcerated. But we’re inviting him anyway. Joe Exotic is certainly having a moment!
J.K. ROWLING – you may not know the “J” stands for Joanne and she refers to herself as “Jo” on her official website. The renowned creator of Harry Potter is in!
TRADER JOE – anyone as dedicated to a store as @traderjoeslist is going to bring a lot to the table. We think a full-sized bottle of hand sanitizer would be an fantastic hostess gift (wrapped with a cute bow of course, we can help with that!).
With the current state of “sheltering in place,” our plans had to change a bit. But we are celebrating anyway and we encourage you to do the same. It’s National Joe Day and you can’t keep us down! Enjoy!
