Summer fashion finds that mimic looks from Tuckernuck, FV, Sue Sartor & more, for less!
So last week I shared some of my favorite summer looks, from a few of my favorite online sites such as Tuckernuck, Sue Sartor, JMcLaughlin, and Frances Valentine.
And then I heard from some of you …
Yes. Some of the prices were a little steep. To be honest, right now, I’m in my “investment era” where my wardrobe is concerned.
Since I am only buying a few pieces each season, I make them count. But I realize not everyone is in this phase.
And also, don’t get me wrong, I will always love a good, old-fashioned bargain.
A sorority sister of mine called these finds a “shopping coup.”
Say what?
A “shopping coup” is a find whose price and look intersect at a point you simply can’t believe. You may even become a bit giddy as you happily place it in your cart.
So I spent a bit of time this past week hunting for some “shopping coups” that mimic some of my favorite looks from Tuckernuck, Frances Valentine, Sue Sartor, JMcLaughlin, Sail to Sable, Farm Rio, and all of the names you know and love.
You’ll have room for each these looks in both your closet AND your budget! I promise!
And I know this firsthand, because I am moving a few things around in my closet (okay closets, plural. LOL) right now to make room for a few of these adorable finds!

SUMMER FASHION FINDS: PINK AND RED FOR LESS
What makes pink even better in my opinion? When you pair it with red! I simply adore this color combination.
And I didn’t invent it. It’s everywhere this season.
You know what else has is having a MAJOR moment this year? Good, old-fashioned ric-rac! Yup. The stuff that adorned the dresses your mom made for you in elementary school is experiencing a huge comeback. But it’s bigger, bolder, and somehow cuter and more modern.
How adorable are these looks I found? They are the perfect dresses to wear to summer weddings, parties, or dinner with friends.
And they are all under $50. Yup. They count as a “shopping coup!”

SUMMER FASHION FINDS: GREAT DAYTIME DRESSES FOR LESS
Where do I start with each of these dresses. The blue and white belted dress is just a classic piece you’ll wear year after year.
And I LOVE the mixed media white dress. The knit top is so flattering and the eyelet skirt is so appealing.
The Boho-chic light blue dress is just giving all of the Tuckernuck vibes I love. And it is also sporting this year’s comeback notion, ric-rac! How adorable.
Finally, every woman should have a great shirtwaist dress in her closet. This one can be worn belted or unbelted. I love the pink and white stripe for a sporty touch.
Each of these looks is $40 or less. A shopping coup? Why yes! Yes indeed!

SUMMER FASHION FINDS: KILLER ACCESSORIES FOR LESS
“Nothing says summer like a straw handbag!” I proclaimed that one afternoon in a mall in my twenties. Whether it’s a clutch, tote or a funky basket bag, I still stand by those words.
How adorable are each of these bags? And they begin at only $20! I spent more than that on today’s lunch!
I also love a funky and fun mule. It adds a bit of personality to any outfit, new or old. The detail on each of these shoes just gives them a sophisticated feel that will elevate any summer ensemble.
Like the pom-pom on that green mule? ADORABLE … total Frances Valentine vibes!
Plus I love these neutral wedges and slides. They would be great to bring on a summer vacation … so versatile!

SUMMER FASHION FINDS: PUT TOGETHER, BUSINESS CASUAL FOR LESS
Yes, the dog days of summer are here. BUT, that doesn’t mean business and work comes to a crashing halt.
Also, if I am being tremendously honest, I sometimes get summer dress fatigue around the middle of July.
What does that even mean? Well … I get sick of dresses and kind of want to pull out a great pair of jeans to wear.
Two of my new staples to pull out of my closet during this phase are a lady jacket and a sleeveless vest. Similar to ric-rac, both of these pieces are enjoying a huge resurgence this season.
My new favorite jeans are wide-legged and cuffed. They just have a polished look to them.
Complete the look with a quality white tee and a cute loafer. You are ready for whatever meeting comes your way!
