Spring tablescape ideas should be far more than simply placing easter eggs, pastel colors and mason jars on your table and calling it a day.

Your spring table decorations and place settings should have visual interest and be inviting. They shouldn’t be just be the same old, run-of-the-mill Easter decorations you pull out of the closet year after year.

That’s just boring.

So when I’m curating my spring table decor, floral arrangements or table linens, I look for different textures, fresh blooms, and different colors to incorporate into the mix.

And these are just a few of my favorite things I use to create the perfect spring dining table at this time of year.

Pulling together a beautiful tablescape is truly a great way to celebrate the new season.

I know you will love these great spring table decor ideas that I’m about to share with you.

BECAUSE SPRING HAS SPRUNG … !

Well, almost!

And as the temperatures begin to rise, the days get longer and the tulips begin to bloom, my mind turns to thoughts of spring entertaining.

There are so many occasions to gather together and celebrate in the coming weeks and months ahead.

You thought the holidays were in the rearview mirror? Well truth be told, they’re only just beginning!

There’s Easter, Mother’s Day, the Kentucky Derby, the Master’s Golf Tournament, and Cinco de Mayo, to name just a few.

That’s not even taking into consideration the numerous graduation parties, bridal and baby showers, and birthday celebrations, that lay ahead. So much fun to be had! There really is always something to celebrate!

Here are five great spring table decor ideas and decorations you’ll love! I’m sharing some of my favorite spring decor and simple centerpiece ideas. Enjoy!

1. CHOOSE AN OBJECT YOU LOVE AND BUILD YOUR SPRING TABLESCAPE AROUND IT

Using decorative objects as a focal point is hands down my favorite decor tip for the spring season, or really ANY season. This will help you to decide on your color palette or color scheme, which is the foundation of every good spring tablescape.

Inspiration can take many forms. It could be a pretty linen you spot at a thrift store, placemats with floral prints you realized you couldn’t live without on your last Target run, or a piece that has been handed down in your family for generations.

The latter was the basis for this beautiful spring tablescape I pulled together.

I knew I wanted to build my spring tablescape around these vintage rose plates, which I believe were my grandmother’s.

But honestly, at this point, I’m really not sure who exactly owned them first. I only know they’ve been bouncing around my family for generations.

Regardless of their origin, they are way too pretty to sit idle in some cardboard box on a basement shelf.

The plates remind me of my parents and I simply love their vintage appeal. The pinks are soft and not over the top. Their design is simple. And they provide a color palette from which to build a great spring tablescape.

I chose accessories that shared the same aesthetic and coordinated with the plates.

These ceramic bunnies are another perfect example. I love their clean, modern lines. My mother always thought they were “funny looking.”

But I like them and knew they wouldn’t look right on a traditional pink and blue Easter dinner table.

So I worked with their best features, and pulled together this sophisticated and modern spring tablescape, on which they took centerstage.

And I just LOVE the root vegetable salad plates! So cute!

THERE ARE NO STEADFAST RULES …

As you are pulling together all of the elements of your spring table decor, remember that different heights, vibrant colors and unusual shapes can create an eclectic look and a gorgeous table.

Who would think that a spring table could incorporate black? But it certainly works on the table above.

When creating a spring table, remember there are no “set in stone” rules. Choose what you love and pieces that evoke warm memories.

I can still hear my mom proclaiming her disdain for the modern white bunnies. And it makes me chuckle and think of her, which makes this table even more beautiful to me.

2. SPRING TABLE DECOR IDEA: ADD TEXTURE TO EVERY SPRING TABLESCAPE

Just like home decor, adding natural textures to spring table settings is an essential element you don’t want to miss.

Why is it so important?

It creates interest and gives your table personality. Think about combining different materials, fabrics or metals.

There are some easy ways to added texture to your spring tablescapes.

This burlap runner is a great example. I turn to burlap a lot because it give a tablescape a rustic quality without going overboard. And I like a burlap runner better than a topper or tablecloth. Burlap can be a bit scratchy, so you may want to keep it away from guests. But the texture it adds is just fabulous.

These moss bunnies are another great way to add an element of texture to a tablescape. They are very popular this season and easy to find.

You can easily dress them up with a grossgrain or satin ribbon, which can reflect your table’s color scheme. Instant interest!

I also love to incorporate wooden elements into my spring tablescape. These serving pieces are the perfect addition. They are vintage but so on trend this spring season.

I also love the texture and interest woven grass placemats can bring to each place setting. They are an affordable and practical alternative to a traditional charger!

3. PAIR SEASONAL ACCENTS WITH YOUR EVERYDAY PIECES

I have preached this from the mountain tops … everyone’s storage space is limited. So i try to have plates, utensils and glass ware that can transition from season to season.

It just makes sense from an organization perspective, as well as a budget perspective.

Get good quality basic items that you can dress up year round. This is true for the spring season, as well as the fall holidays.

Here is one of my favorite tricks. There is no better way to bring spring decor to your dining room table than by placing decorative salad plates on top of simple white dinner plates.

It is one of my favorite ways to dress up your Easter table. It is a perfect way for your table to celebrate the holiday, without taking up precious storage space the other 364 days of the year.

You can often find some great sets at thrift stores or estate sales, if you just keep an eye out for them.

Other simple ways to dress up your table for any special occasion can include adding seasonal accents such as a napkin ring, colorful napkin, or festive glassware. You don’t need everything to match. In fact, it’s better if it doesn’t!

The modern salad plates were a great addition to this sophisticated spring dinner table.

4. SPRING TABLE DECOR IDEA: DON’T BE AFRAID OF FAUX FLORALS

A beautiful centerpiece can actually be made from faux flowers. No joke. There are some really great faux flowers available these days. They aren’t the fake plastic, dust collectors of yesteryear.

For our Master’s golf  themed party, I simply placed these faux azalea bundles into simple ceramic pots.

The result was a gorgeous floral centerpiece that took seconds and didn’t break the bank. Plus it’s reusable from season to season.

This faux grass table runner was the perfect addition to our Kentucky Derby themed party … so cute! And again, I can reuse it for many years to come.

5. SPRING TABLE DECOR IDEA: BRING THE OUTDOORS INSIDE

Want to really wow your guests with a spring tablescape? Look to your own backyard for spring blooms. It is one of the best ways and one of the most simple ways to create a gorgeous floral centerpiece for pennies.

I love to add a natural element to Easter centerpieces and spring tablescapes.

Pulling together a monochromatic look, like the white flowers on each of these table, can be an easy way to create a gorgeous floral centerpiece in minutes. This is one of my favorite simple spring centerpiece ideas. It’s especially great for dinner parties.

Placing fresh flowers in small vases and dotting them down a runner on your dining room table is also another great way to create an elegant centerpiece.

You can pick fresh flowers up at a grocery store, at your local florist, or cut them from your own backyard as spring begins to blossom!

Another simple, but impactful way to create a stunning centerpiece from your backyard, is to add twigs down the middle of the table. I love their simplicity and the texture they add to this spring tablescape!

Happy Spring! I hope you found some great inspiration and different ways to incorporate spring table decor and decorations!
